I received The Phillips Sonicare Power Flosser 7000 Oral Irrigator in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I quite enjoyed trying this product as I had only ever used floss and interdental piks, it was different and took me a number of tries to get the hang of it. This was with different hand positions, through the 4 different modes of use and the power settings. I liked that there were different modes to suit my normal teeth on the deep clean cycle, my partners teeth on the sensitive mode and having a quick go of the gum cycle on my 9 year old and 5 year old, and I may have just had a quick water fight with the 5 year old with the clean cycle. It was fun, but it did take a little more time than using regular floss and piksters. I didn't feel that it quite got the fibrous meat that sometimes gets itself wedged in and still needed to have a quick go of the floss on some teeth.
My gums felt cleaner and massaged and I think it would be a good idea for use on those that have sore, inflamed gums as it was a bit more gentle than using a toothbrush on the gums.
I had expectations of it feeling a bit like a dentist clean, and it did not meet my expectations. It was a bit messy and a little more time consuming (with more regular use it could become quicker).
I don't think I would purchase one of these if I had the option to do so, it also was hard to have the machine plugged into a power point and be close by a sink (standards for PowerPoint not to be within so many metres of water source).
It was fun, different and something I might use on a weekly basis as long as time permits.
