Pixel 7 Obsidian 128 GB
A good all round phone…

Coming from a previous Pixel, I knew what to expect in many ways - excellent build quality, great software including AI features across the board such as in the camera, the "hold for me" feature while in the queue when calling a support line, and the call screening feature to name just a few.
What really surprised me is the way that Google has continued to innovate with the camera. Night Sight is so good on this phone, it is one of my favourite features. The quality and "feel" of the photo you can get at night time is just spectacular.
Switching from my previous Pixel to this one was simply a breeze, the included plug (not necessary in my case) makes it even easier and it all happened very quickly. Minimal set up required in some apps before getting going.
The eSIM support is great too, didn't even need to get the SIM pin out.
I do find the camera bump a little annoying, that said it is probably worth it for the improved camera quality. I was hoping my case would smooth out the bump, not quite though.
The one feature that always lets me down in the end is the battery. I think the battery life is acceptable on this phone, but only just - all flagships could do with more battery life as without charge your phone is just a brick. I would accept a thicker and heavier phone if it had more battery life, for sure.
I think the Pixel lineup represents good value for money and I would certainly recommend it to friends and family.
