A welcome addition to our…

I have been using this Tumble Dryer for the past 3 weeks and it has replaced a 12 year old condenser dryer.
I was attracted to this product due to the Heat Pump technology and hope to see an overall reduction in our energy spend. Price wise the RRP for the appliance is competitive with products of a similar spec and technology. In my opinion this is a quality product and the reassurance of a good guarantee.
Unpacking and setting up the machine was simple. The display and features are straightforward to use although reading the instruction manual has helped us get the most of the machine. We were quick to turn off the end of cycle buzzer but its a good feature if you need an audible prompt.
The 8kg drum provides sufficient space for our family of five needs. We are mostly using the cotton cycle on the maximum drying heat. We have experimented with a few programmes but this cycle means we can fold and store our clothes after each cycle. The Cotton Eco cycle takes a little longer but we found some clothes are little damp for us - fine if you are going to iron afterwards . The ProSense technology adjusts the time required to the load capacity. Knowing how long a cycle has to left has been really helpful and after you start the cycle the appliance adjusts the time display based on the load.
The SensiDry technology reduces the overall temperature required to dry the clothes. We have noticed this means the cycle is slightly longer than our old appliance took. However knowing that the energy used is still less is reassuring and the clothes do feel softer. We have towels that always felt crisp on tumble drying previously which now appear to be softer even though the washing process hasn't changed.
I have dried some items that I would have previously used a clothes airer for due to shrinkage concerns. The AEG has dried them without any shrinkage or damage to the fabric.
The tumble dryer is slightly noisier than we expected, at times you can hear it whirling but its not particularly loud. I can still work from home and have video conferences without the noise being distracting or overheard. I haven't used the delay start timer feature as I we haven't needed it.
The drawer where the water collects is at the top of the machine which means it is easy to remove and drain. Emptying the dryer of lint is easy and mess free too.
Overall we are pleased with the appliance and can see it being a welcome addition during the winter months.
