When you first look at this dryer it looks a little complicated but it is not at all. I sometimes wonder which programme to put it on, but the good thing is there are 3 different heat settings. If you are only putting a small number of items in and they’re are not going to take the time that the programme says, you can press the time button once and that sets the time to 10 minutes, press it twice and it sets for 20 minutes and Three times it sets for 30minutes and so on. Things do take longer to dry than they do in an older style non heat pump dryer but it uses so much less electricity. I was so surprised when I looked at my smart meter and it was still well within the green section.
After each use you have to empty the water out that has been collected and I was really surprised by how much there was.
It is quieter than our previous dryer. It is currently in our kitchen until our utility room is finished. You can’t put it in a cold room e.g. a garage because of it having a heat pump, they say no less than 7 degrees.
So far the only negative that I have found is when you are drying socks, they seem to accumulate around internal part of the door and don’t go round in the drum. I have Tried using tumble dryer balls in the hope it would keep the socks going round in the drum, but it didn’t help at all.
As drying smaller items like socks isn’t straight forward, I’ll give the dryer 4 stars.
