Love it

I’ve had a week to play around with this projector and I am really enjoying it. After 15 mins of quick setup for Netflix, Shudder, Plex, YouTube, Amazon Prime, iPlayer apps it was ready to watch with my subscriptions. The Android app worked well to set these up. The only one I couldn’t see was MUBI, but the built-in browser works with that anyway. There’s still 2GB (52%) available on the drive so plenty of room.
I tried the HDMI source after purchasing a female to micro HDMI adapter and tried my laptop on it, good crisp image.
Brightness and screen size to distance are great and it runs quietly. The projector is compact and lightweight and tilting works very well and holds in place, the keystone correction taking just a second to reset itself. The provided carry case has a good solid design.
The sound is impressive, and my Bluetooth headphones (EarFun) work seamlessly with it – a menu pops up to ask about connecting when I take them out of the case and switches back to speaker automatically when I put them away.
Remote control is pleasingly thin and simple to use, the raised volume buttons make them easier to access in the dark.
The only improvements I can think of are
1) A button on the remote to change the size/position without having to go back to the home menu first. But if this is being setup in one location, that’s not a problem, and the screen resizer window takes you back to what you were watching anyway.
2) Flip image option, I positioned the projector in front of me aimed at the ceiling but couldn’t see how to change it to display the other way round.
3) Colour calibration without the use of a Samsung phone/iPhone.
