Jabra Elite 7 Active
Great quality earbuds

These are my first pair of premium ear buds and I have to say I am impressed. I've previously used cheap generic brand earbuds off amazon, and it goes without saying it that in terms of comfort and functionality, these headphones are leagues ahead. On comfort, I am quite fussy when it comes to personal audio devices. I won't wear headphones full stop because I find they create pressure points on my head after a while. I've used 3 other ear buds in the past and found that after an hour or 2 of use they made my ears ache. I've worn the Jabra earbuds for several hours at a time with no issue, which is a huge relief. The small form factor is great. Not so small that you could lie down with your head sideways, but small enough that they can fit underneath ear defenders when I'm using power tools.
I love the auto pause function when one ear bud is removed - much better than faffing around with pausing on the phone. This works for both music player apps and video (e.g. youtube). It's possible to manage some settings and controls through the push buttons on each ear bud (one on each). I find the physical buttons much easier to use than the touch sensitive functionality I've had on other earbuds. Finally, the ANC and the hear through work quite well. Not exactly sure of the use case for hear through, but the option is there if you want it. The ANC is effective but not perfect - some noise can still make it through in noisy environments. These are my first ear buds with ANC so I don't have a frame of reference to how the Elite 7 Active compare with the competitors.
My only complaint about these earbuds is that sometimes the connectivity can be a bit flakey. For example an ear bud drops out inexplicably, or my phone can't pair with the ear buds. This is usually quick to resolve but annoying nonetheless.
