HP Smart Tank Plus 555 All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer
Easy to set up

The Printer was easy to set up. When I opened the packaging, I firstly noticed was that the printer was inside a bag with handles to enable it to be removed easily and safely from the box.
I don't really have much patience for instructions and I expect products like a printer to be intuitive to set up. I proceeded to remove the printer from the box. I then removed all the blue transportation protection tapes and cardboard from the printer.
The box did not contain the Standard USB A to B cable but this is not required if you set and use the printer vIa WIFI.
I referenced the instructions and this indicates to firstly fill the ink tanks. I removed the plastic Protection from the Black Cyan Magenta and Yellow ink Refill Bottles. Filling the tanks was a clean task because the bottles have a valve so that ink doesn't come out until the ink bottle is plugged onto the ink tank inlets.
The next instructions is to install the print heads to do this I had to refer to the instructions. after connecting the power switching on the printer and opening the print head door. Printer then automatically moved the print head mechanism to be accessible. There is an Orange plastic dummy transportation packing cartridge that first needs to be removed. This was a fiddly operation and despite being quite experienced and competent, I felt frightened that printer might break whilst removing it. The orientation to insert the printer cartridges was quite confusing at first. The colour coding of where to insert black and Colour print heads is good. Once print heads were installed the printer started to prime the tubes and print head with ink.
I installed the HP app as indicated in the instructions I registered my email address. App couldn't find the printer at first do then I switched my phone to connect to the unsecured WIFI SSID of the Printer then printer was found and I then set up its permanent connection to my WiFI Router.
The paper feed is a bit fiddly it doesn't support the paper very well, I used Environmentally friendly recycled A4 paper and when I printed a test page the printer snatched a few pieces of paper instead of one. I will use standard inkjet photocopier A4 paper in future.
The printing itself was very fast especially for Black and White and nice and clear text and images.
