My Galaxy Book 360 13.3” i5 arrived in a well designed and protective cardboard box, containing the following:
• Laptop;
• 65W UK charger plug;
• Charging cable;
• Stylus;
• Quick start instructions.
Pressing the power button, the battery was discharged and I had to plug it in for a couple of hours before turning it on. Once powered on, the Samsung logo came up and then it went into a standard Windows 11 set up sequence.
Having entered the basic location/language/keyboard/Windows account/etc. information and connected to my router (wirelessly – there is no RJ45 for a wired connection), I was ready to go. So far everything was really smooth and easy to follow, and Microsoft loaded 365 automatically from my account.
I started out by opening MS Edge and going to the Windows App Store to install the various apps that I normally have on my computer. Again, this was really easy and straightforward to do.
Within an hour of opening the box I was connected to my home network and the internet, I had downloaded and organised the main apps that I use on a regular basis, and I was sitting back watching Netflix. That said, I had not used Windows 11 before, so it took me a little while to get used to how everything is organised and controlled, and I continued to tweak things over the next few days.
The laptop itself is a delight. I prefer a larger screen for doing serious work but, as an alternative to doing social media / entertainment activities on my phone, it works really well.
The quality of the touch-screen is excellent and was immediately intuitive as to the finger swipes needed to scroll, enlarge, etc., and it folds all the way back through 360 degrees which is really usefull!!!
