From B7 to G3 - a big leap…

I have happily used a 55" LG B7 OLED since 2018, being sure in the knowledge that I had the right TV for my usage. Movies and gaming. That's still true, but slowly it was left behind on features such as VRR, HDMI 2.1 and brightness.
I didn't feel compelled to get a new TV but we finally decided it would be nice to get a bigger set.
Well, wow.. the G3 seems to improve on our already fantastic B7 in every single way.
The biggest single improvement we find is that the screen gets almost zero glare or reflection. This makes a huge difference when watching in the daytime. If this was the only improvement I would still be happy, but then you have the insane brightness improvements. Together, it's a really compelling upgrade.
Add to that it's now a 65", the sound quality is fantastic and a small tip for anyone wall mounting with a VESA mount. Fit the included mount, it sits in a different location so you can have both mounted. I used it to help me lift and move the TV myself to mount the TV on the wall without needing another person to help, and also not having to handle the front of the TV which makes me nervous.
I haven't done a lot of gaming yet but I can already tell the difference having a quick go with my PS5 and Xbox Series X - details look so much clearer and HDR is much much brighter. The game mode quick settings are really useful, too.
If you're on the fence and have an older OLED, I cannot find a single reason not to upgrade, LG continues to push OLED into the mainstream which is great, everyone should have a display like this, it's a beauty!
