A small upgrade over the…

The C3 has superb picture quality, contrast, and black levels - as you would expect from an OLED. Watching 4K HDR material is exceptional. The brightness is also surprisingly good, although OLEDs are clearly designed for dark room viewing. Gaming is superb on this TV (4x 120hz HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR, G-Sync). Thanks to very low input lag, gaming feels fluid and responsive, and I am consistently amazed how vivid the colours and picture appears in HDR.
However, the C3 features a rather large price hike (especially compared to it's predecessor, the C2). I own both the 55 C2 and 55 C3. Both TVs have the same OLED panel, and have near identical picture quality (although the C3 is slightly better due to a newer processor, and produces brighter HDR images). I was surprised that the sound quality of the 55 C2 was better than the C3. Lastly, there is no additional tech to help mitigate against burn in (although the G series may be more resiliant due to MLA and a heatsink).
I suppose it is hard to improve on what already was an excellent television set. If money is no obstacle, buy the C3 (or the even better G3). Alternatively, wait for a sale on Black Friday - but you could equally achieve a similarly performing set in the C2 for a much lower price. Certainly, for LG's next C-series TV, I would love to see the inclusion of a heatsink (which can help reduce image retention and burn in).
