G3 for the win!

Take everything you love from previous LG OLEDs and crank it up to 11 thanks to the magic that is MLA technology that makes everything much brighter and punchier than before.
Design:
Not much change in this years design. You still get the low profile, minimum bezel panel that is designed to be wall mounted (included in the box). It looks stunning on the wall or on a 3rd party stand and a real eye catcher. Unfortunately the remote is looking its age and needs a design refresh. Serviceable and works well but doesn't feel premium in hand and could really do with some backlight.
Gaming
LG continues to lead the way with Gaming features. Low input lag, 4k/120fps, GSYNC, Freesync, Dolby Atomos and Vision. You won't go wanting! x4 full HDMI 2.1 ports is also very handy for those with more than one console. Gaming looks and plays incredible on the G3. The pitch in Fifa has never looked so green and vibrant while sunset vistas in Forza Horizon and Horizon Forbidden West really show of the new brightness punch in HDR
Sound:
The one area of disappointment on this TV. Sound from the speakers is just OK. with a lack of bass. If you buy the G3 you really need a soundbar
Picture:
WOW!
Before getting into the details as to why this is such an impressive TV for watching all content, I wanted to make special mention of a significant improvement to the 2023 G3 that has flown under the radar. the new and greatly improved anti-reflection layer on the screen. This is a bit of a game changer as OLED’s have previously struggled with reflections in overly bright rooms.
Back to the screen and picture quality itself. This this LG’s brightest OLED yet. You can really notice the extra punch to highlights with HDR content looking stunning. Whites are whiter and a new luminance, blacks are super inky still and colours now have more pop. Blade Runner 2049 (4k disc) is a particular favourite to be to benchmark new TV’s and this years G3 has made me appreciate it all over again. Images almost have a 3D lifelike look to them with the whole picture jumping off the screen for a fantastic cinematic experience.
Non 4k content looks superb with the TV’s newest processor doing a stellar job in upscaling. The processor also does a great job with motion handling with various pre-sets to meet everyone’s preferences.
Overall
LG have really hit it out of the ground this year. Some really impactful improvement bring new life into the OLED space. Anyone taking the leap on the G3 will be nothing but blown away and exceptionally happy with their new purchase.
