Great TV experience

Our last TV was an LG OLED which we bought about 6-7 years ago. The TV straight out of the box looks very similar to our previous TV. You can immediately tell that it has a sturdy yet quality feel to it. Assembly is relatively straightforward. Once the TV boots up you have the main menu which has ALOT of apps on it. The factory set up of the picture and sound quality is absolutely terrible. I've had the TV set up for a couple of days now and I'm still fiddling with the set up. The manufacturer settings have dark colours so dark that you can't make out any detail in the picture. Why are the default settings so bad??
When you turn the TV off and back on again you are met with the menu page again instead of the last channel that you were watching. Again you have to force the TV not to come up with the menu each time. The picture itself is crisp, bright and shows excellent contrast/colour (once set up appropriately). The sound is clear and sharp. It is perfectly loud enough without having to use a soundbar. It has a particularly useful setting that brings out dialogue clearly, particularly useful when programmes have a tendency to be heavy on the soundtrack and light on dialogue. Still some tweaking to go but it has improved our TV viewing experience
