The best Oled yet? Definitely!

This is my third LG Oled, from back in 2016 with an E6, then a C8 which this G3 has now replaced.
Year on year LG improve their Oled’s a lot in my opinion, this year however the G series stands out, these being the first with the new MLA tech, Micro Lens Array is a way of scattering the light better thus making the tv brighter, and boy is this bright, but not to the detriment of anything else.
Installation was simple, this set is designed to be wall mounted flush, and once up it just looks so good.
Powering up you find WebOS 23, very snappy around the menu’s as expected, although I’m not a fan of the new layout with adverts being larger and the app bar smaller than previously, minor gripe but there nonetheless.
I’ve not tweaked much in the pic settings, going to run the panel in for a few hundred hours then adjust to my liking, but out of the box the picture quality is sublime, I was surprised at how good the sound is too being such a thin unit and mounted flush to the wall, while not quite as good as my old C8 it certainly is more than adequate for everyday viewing.
4K in Dolby Vision and HDR is just stunning on this model, really takes advantage of the MLA tech to boost the brightness performance and give a superb viewing experience.
Viewing standard material in HD or even SD is a pleasure too, this G3 just handles everything so well.
I’ve not tried any gaming on this yet, that will come later for me.
For my money, this is, in my opinion, the best Oled tv yet, of any brand.
