Incredible clarity, truly…

I’ve been following the G series line of OLED TVs from LG for some time, I started looking at the G1 back in 2021, and then the following year had hoped to purchase the G2, but unfortunately this didn’t come to fruition. Fast forward to 2023 and I’m now the proud owner of LG’s OLED Evo G3 65” 4K Smart TV!
I bought the G3 to replace a now 10-year-old 46” LCD, the difference between the two is incredible, to start the increased resolution from Full HD to 4K is amazing, but the most striking aspect has to be the contrast ratio. The TVs OLED self-lit pixels result in stunning blacks, to a level I expect even the very best LCD TVs would fail to match, it’s said the LCD TVs excel where brightness is concerned, but my experience with the G3 so far has delighted me with its brightness, the white text overlays on a well-known streaming service are piercingly bright, often causing me to squint in my otherwise unlit room.
The TV was excellently packaged, really well thought out and simple to remove from the box. As the TV only comes with a wall mount, it’s a nice touch that a paper wall template is also provided so you can install the bracket quickly while also achieving the perfect position. Once mounted to the wall the TV sits extremely flush, only protruding around 20mm which really helps to improve the viewing angles for every seat in our lounge.
