Constant Improvements

LG continue to improve on their green credentials, the premium TV coming in an unassuming brown box, gone are the days of the flashy branding on the outer box this TV does not need any fancy packaging to sell itself! This is my first TV upgrade since 2019 and it's clear LG have improved things considerably. Firstly the build and weight of the TV, I have gotten used to some TV's feeling plasticky and flimsy but not the G3 it's built like a tank (in a good way) it feels solid and weighty and inspires confidence that it's built to last. On powering up the TV I was greeted with the option of using my phone to setup the TV via the smart things app, a great option instead of using the TV remote. Within minutes I was setup and able to watching my favourite streaming services via the TV. The picture quality is astounding really bright and punchy but not overly processed like some TV's are. The interface is slick, smooth and easy to use and I had all my usual apps installed within minutes. I use an external soundbar but during the initial setup had chance to hear the built in speakers and for such a slim TV I must say I was impressed by the sound they delivered. The TV looks amazing on the wall and the cable management routing and included slim wall mount make installation a breeze. I have hooked up both my PS5 and XBOX Series X and was able to take advantage of all the various options available on both consoles which includes support for dolby vision at 120hz as well as ALLM, VRR. eARC Additionally a new feature I was keen to check out is the new QMS (Quick Media Switching) functionality and it worked like a charm reducing the blank screen often experienced on older TV's when switching between inputs or content. Overall I'm thoroughly impressed with this TV and expect it to see me through the next few years of TV watching!
