Introduction
I've had my eye on projectors for quite some time and decided that the Samsung Freestyle 2nd Gen would be my first foray into this world. Let me tell you, I've not been disappointed. It serves as a delightful complement to our existing 75-inch Samsung TV, rather than a replacement.
Setup
One of the strongest aspects of this projector is its ease of setup. Since we already have a Samsung TV at home, navigating through the interface was a breeze. The projector even updated itself automatically before presenting us with a crisp picture on the wall.
Picture Quality
While not a match for a 4K or 8K TV, the Freestyle's picture quality surpassed my expectations. Be advised, though, the projector does require a darkened room to deliver its best. My children absolutely adore watching films projected on the wall at a whopping 120 inches—considerably larger than our already large 75-inch TV.
Placement Flexibility
This projector now resides in our bedroom, and its portability is a great feature. We can watch films on the ceiling while lying in bed or easily move it to project onto a wall. Though we're not using a specialised screen, the image is remarkably good, making me wonder how much better it could get if we did opt for one.
Audio Capabilities
The sound output is impressively robust for such a small device. And if you're someone who prefers a more intimate audio experience, the projector allows for Bluetooth connectivity to headphones.
Extra Features
Sending videos or mirroring your phone screen is a cinch, adding to the overall user-friendly nature of this projector. It's a fun gadget that's great for family time, and my children are particularly enamoured with it.
Final Thoughts
If you're in the market for a projector that's easy to set up and offers a versatile and enjoyable viewing experience, the Samsung Freestyle 2nd Gen is definitely worth considering. While it may not replace your high-definition TV, it brings a unique and immersive experience that the whole family can enjoy. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, as long as you're not seeking super high-resolution.
