Not Bad Overall, But Mixed…

I'm someone that likes to take supplement pills often to keep myself in good condition and top myself up on those aspects that I miss out on due to being a fussy eater! Therefore, I had high hopes for Vital Proteins. The easier it is to take, the happier Adam is! However, the jury is still out on the difference made so far. Let's take a look at my journey with the product, though.
First of all, and I've seen others mention this, the tub isn't full. What an unexpected surprise in today's world (have you had crisps lately? They're like a third of the packet only!). It's likely so they can fit the spoon in, but that's a poor excuse because baby milk tubs slot the spoon carefully into the lid so more powder can be included to get better value for money - so that needs looking into. Either make the packaging smaller to not leave customers feeling cheated, or actually adjust the scoop size/location and put more powder in! Minor grumbles aside on the quantity front, mixing the powder into liquids also seems a bit hit and miss, but you find this with anything, even malt-based hot drinks, but do be prepared to sometimes give a vigorous stir to ensure clumps of powder aren't floating around in your drink! Nobody likes that, right? Personally, having it with hot water worked better because the taste in cold water just wasn't appealing at all. In fact, the taste in hot water wasn't particularly nice either, so despite being more tolerable, I did find that adding my favourite mixed fruit/blackcurrant cordial (no brand names mentioned, but one starting with V was favoured!) and some honey helped ('a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down' - sing along, if you know the words!). Then it was almost like taking nothing at all, which for someone quite picky about tastes is truly fantastic.
UPDATE: Has it made any difference? Well, my nails seem a bit healthier, but what hair I have left hasn't changed, neither have my energy levels. The skin trouble on my face has finally started to subside, but it's been frustrating that it happened. Perhaps Vital Proteins was 'cleansing' me and various impurities were coming out. However, it still wasn't a pleasant experience at the start of the journey, and for it to take so many weeks to stabilise has made me feel a bit uncomfortable about my image.
Conclusions? It's still a mixed bag, but more positive than a couple of weeks prior. I'd recommend for those that hate tablets, but value for money could be better, definitely.
