Bose QuietComfort Ultra…

Coming from the Bose 700, the QuietComfort Ultra have a similar design. Although, it must be noted, the clamping is less tight than the 700s. This leads to a more comfortable experience when wearing them. That is no easy feat when compared to the 700s, which were already incredibly comfortable for long periods of time. The QuietComfort have the added benefit of being foldable.
The sound. For anybody familiar with Bose products, you will know that they tend to have a more ‘’neutral’’ sound profile. The QuietComfort Ultra are a bit different. There is more emphasis on bass. The bass is noticeably deeper than what you would normally expect from Bose. They are indeed a great sounding pair of headphones. New to the QuietComfort Ultra is spatial. This is a mode that is designed to mimic a set of speakers. So it kind of makes the audio sound open. Like you are in a room with speakers. It is certainly a different experience, but results can be mixed. Some songs sound mind blowing in this mode. Others don’t sound right.
Noise cancelling, is, as you would expect from Bose, best in class. It also has a passthrough mode, meaning you can hear what is going on around you whilst wearing the headphones. It has dual Bluetooth support, so you can connect to 2 devices at once.
Overall, these are an incredible set of headphones. The comfort of these headphones cannot be competed with. They are on another level of comfort, which is very important to me.
