Brilliant sound, but a…

These headphones are a lifesaver for me, especially at this time of year in the shops. The noise cancellation is superb, I could barely hear anything except the music, in immersion Mode.
Aware mode is great too, as I need this for listening for traffic when having to cross roads, or walking through car parks.
The music comes through clear and voice calls are pretty good, too.
I'm not a big fan of the controls though. There is one button for on, off and bluetooth pairing/switching. A few times now, I thought I'd turned them off, only to wonder why I couldn't hear anyone on my next phone call.
The volume slider is not great, either. It doesn't seem to react to my touch very well, and I've had to try two or three times to get the slider to respond. I'd much prefer simple volume up and down buttons.
Having said that, they are quite comfortable and fit even my small head. They do start feeling a little heavy after a while, and can get hot in warmer places. The materials are of good quality, as you would expect from Bose.
Setup was a breeze - a soon as I turned them on, the bluetooth connected with my phone and prompted me to download the app and complete setup. On the app, there is a guide on which buttons do what, if you're not sure of the pictures on the box. There's an equaliser option on the app, as well as headphone controls.
I liked that they came with a USB C charger lead and a cable to plug in to a 3.5mm jack. Note that the jack on the headphones themselves is a 2.5mm jack, so you need to use the supplied lead or similar converter cable.
On the whole, I'd recommend these. I'd say it's worth putting up with some dodgy controls for the music experience and noise cancellation.
