Samsung S23 FE... Here…

Where to start. As a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE user and being happy with it, I was keen to try the S23 FE. The box is so small because it doesn't come with a wall plug only a USB C to USB C cable. I cannot use this as my wall plugs have standard USB on one end. So it's strange to be using an old cable with a new phone. Unboxing the phone it's neatly packed with the camera facing up. Looks very high end. On picking it up I immediately felt the difference in weight to the S20 FE, it's quite a few grams heavier and chunkier. It doesn't feel slippery though which is a bonus considering it's glass. It came 49% charged. Set up was simple and fairly straightforward. I'm not sure if this is because both my phones already have the transfer data app already installed. You can choose what to transfer either wirelessly or by connecting a cable. Time for transfer is dependent on how much you're transferring. The camera appears to be better in the S23 FE, coping better in lower light conditions. It has rained almost non stop since i started to use it so haven't been able to take many outdoor photos. The biggest downside for me has to be the battery. As a medium user, I find that by late afternoon I'm starting to worry if it's going to let me down. I have the settings the same on both phones and the newer runs at a comparable rate. The S20 FE battery has been used for over 2 years. Comparing the specs of my 2 phones you'd expect there to be an outright winner. There's not! Yes, the S23 FE is newer, faster and has future upgrades. To me though it's not a RRP upgrade. Mainly due to the battery but also how much chunkier and heavier it is. It just doesn't sit comfortably in my hand. Hopefully it will grow on me.
