Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 512GB/256GB
Some great features, but…

I've been using the S24 Ultra for a couple of weeks now, and having come from another flagship Android phone, there are some things I like, and other things I'd expect to be better.
The good:
- The screen gets bright, and has a nice anti-reflective coating that makes it easy to see outside
- It's fast. There is never any lag, and the way you can have multiple apps running on one screen, or in windows is fantastic
- The expanded notification menu and its device control functionality are great!
- I've never owned a phone with a stylus before, but Samsung managed to cram one in, and for quick note taking it works pretty well. There have been times though when I'm writing and it just stops working. I don't think this is how it should work, but it does mimic what it's like to use a ballpoint pen when they also stop working... :D
- The battery is also fantastic. Can easily get to the end of the day with 50% left
- Samsung Health works great with my Galaxy Watch
What could be better:
- The camera... It's not a bad camera at all when it works it's quite good. In comparison though, the colours are washed out, and in low light, without messing with settings, the camera just chooses everything wrong. Pictures are grainy, lack detail and look poor. If you force the camera to select the right settings though by going manual, it works great! Hopefully, this will be improved in the software. Also on the camera, the 100x is pointless, pictures aren't even worth taking.
- The fingerprint scanner is fast when it works, but the success rate is 50/50 at the moment
- The S-Pen concept is great, but see in my photos, sometimes it just stops working when drawing
What I don't like:
- It's subjective, but the size of the phone is just slightly too big. My past phone was only a few mm smaller, however, the sharp edges on the S24 Ultra make it rather uncomfortable to use without a Popsocket or similar
- The Samsung bloat. It's nowhere near what it was in the TouchWiz days, however, Samsung's own take on the stock Android apps can add duplication and confusion that's not needed. For example, the Galaxy AI only works within the Galaxy photo app, not Google Photos. The phone app can't even do a company search, so you have to go to maps or Google, find the phone number and then call it.
