Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 512GB/256GB
A worthwhile upgrade from…

I have been using Samsung Galaxy S line for as long as I can remember and update my phone whenever a new one comes along. From S23 Ultra to S24 Ultra, there has been a noticeable different, the most apparent one being the screen edges being flattened out. This was a welcome change, which also made the use of the S pen easier. I also appreciated the fact that the bezels around the screen were thinner and even, giving it a neater overall look.
With the titanium casing, the edges of which comes in a shade that matches the colour of the phone, the phone is very nice to look at and also nice to hold. I'm also glad that despite using titanium which is heavier than aluminium, it has not had a negative effect on the overall weight. I may love the Ultra model for its screen size and function, but the weight is certainly formidable!
I tend to take a lot of photos and using the Camera Assistant app, customised many functions. I found the camera to be responsive and somewhat less exaggerated (previous models used to make the sky too blue) - it is now closer to what you actually see with your eyes. I also appreciated that the x5 zoom was not a downgrade from the x10, alternating between the lenses - x5 zoom is turning out to be quite a bit more useful than the x10.
With this phone, I also have the screen set up as QHD (because I can!) and despite this, I do not notice any particular drain on the battery.
It's still in the early days so I'm quite looking forward to setting up customised AOD and also making full use of the AI features (translation and 'circle to search'), but so far, I'm very happy with the device and glad that I've upgraded.
