Samsung Neo QLED 4K QN90D…

The Samsung TV was very easy to set up from the initial unboxing to getting it ready to watch.
There were two options to setup the TV, the first one was to scan a QR code that was displayed on the screen and then set it up via your mobile phone. This was the option that I chose, and it was all successfully configured within a few minutes.
The other option was to perform a step-by-step process which probably would have taken a bit longer.
Once the TV had been fully setup I started to explore, the picture looked good, the sound quality was clear and there was a decent set of applications that were preinstalled, albeit, like all these products most were there to encourage subscriptions.
As you would expect from a TV with 4k resolution the picture quality was crystal clear containing vivid sharp colours with smooth rendering. The thing that really stood out to me was the exceptionally sharp resolution that makes even the smallest details stand out.
You can easily change the picture settings to meet your individual requirements.
The sound quality is also what you would expect from this specification of TV. With the default it was clear and crisp even at the lower and higher volumes. If you need to tailor the sound to your own requirements there are a set of “Expert” settings that you can play with.
You can connect all your devices to the TV so that you can manage them all from the SmartThings App. Albeit, this did take awhile to locate my devices that were on the network.
To be honest the TV’s remote control is a bit tacky, the buttons are small which could give some people accessibility problems. It does however have the standard buttons to load Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney.
Currently you cannot use the BBC iPlayer App on this TV. It took a while to find out that this App was not installed as I would have expected. I tried to download it and failed.
I did a little digging on the internet to find out why this was the case and I discovered that the BBC had not yet certified any 2024 models from Samsung.
According to Samsung they are working with the BBC to rectify this as soon as they can and it will be released after certification.
You can check if your TV is certified here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/questions/supported-devices/samsung
Conclusion
This is a good TV within its price bracket.
