Not what I was expecting from Samsung...at this price point at least! It wasn't a very good experience, however I removed only 1 star. The design and the vibrant picture quality looks breathtaking from any viewing angles!
*Pro's: The TV specs: 4 x HDMI's up to 144hz gaming mode, with HDMI 3 eARC, VR support and a lot of features to play with on the gaming bar.
OS Tizen runs smoothly has a few improvements over the past years but not much. You can connect your webcam via usb or use your phone too which is a cool feature.
The anti glare screen (don't forget to peel off the plastic) otherwise it looks glossy, it does the job! In a very bright room with 4 double windows the picture quality, contrast and brightness it was incredible!
On the downside in the dark the anti glare screen it seems to affect the brightness and the contrast by dimming. What I love the most is the TV panel, ultra slim, only a few mm thick and it looks brilliant on the wall! Samsung please include the slim wall mount next year. With the connect box no need to keep moving the TV from the wall each time you are connecting a new equipment!
*Cons: The TV arrived late, then once arrived the box it was slightly damaged but luckily the TV it was fine. The unboxing it was a bit painful for a 77 inch TV you have to lift the huge box to get the TV out! Once opened the box I noticed the solar remote had a dent and the volume up button seemed a bit worn-out.
The one connect box it was dusty, and back of the tv scratched, the front screen protection (pillow) it was offering only half protection. I don't know if the TV wasn't brand new or the QC team spend too much time on this unit but I am bit disappointed. On the other hand I was unable to register the 5 year warranty due to link registration not working and no support from Samsung whatsoever! TV is the top of the line from Samsung, I expect more than 12 months warranty! The connection port at the back of the TV is on the left and would be ideal for cable management if the port will be upright, also a channel to run the cable through would have been useful. No Dolby Vision this year either however the HDR 10+ its a substitute. The connect box has 10/100mbps ethernet port and Wi-Fi 5 which is a little outdated.
If you look at the bigger picture with the ups and downs then considering erasing all the above issues, I would recommend this TV for gaming, but also excellent for your cinema room and more!
