Brilliant Packaging and…

When unboxing the Bose sound bar, the quality of the packaging immediately stood out. The way it was meticulously packaged demonstrated the attention to detail. However, it's important to be cautious not to overlook the neatly tucked away cables in the box when removing the sound bar.
Setting up the sound bar is a breeze, although it took me some time to realize that there were no physical instructions included. Instead, there was a leaflet guiding me to download the app. Once I accessed the app, everything became clear. The app itself is intuitive and user-friendly, surpassing the functionality of the previous Bose app.
The actual setup process is straightforward, with minimal cables to connect. There are multiple options, including HDMI ARC and optical cable, and the app provides settings to turn on the sound bar through the optical cable. Even without access to enough HDMI ports, the sound from the sound bar is still impressive. It effectively projects audio effects throughout the room, creating an immersive experience.
One feature that proved to be a bit challenging for me was the Adapt AIQ. While it worked well in films, it ultimately comes down to personal preference. Personally, I prefer the loud crashes and bangs, even if it means the voices are slightly overshadowed by the bass. However, I did notice that when listening to something like boxing with crowds, the Adapt IQ feature tends to muddy the voices. It's important to play around with the settings to find the right balance for individual preferences.
Overall, the sound bar delivers incredible sound quality and boasts a visually stunning design. Contrary to some reviews, I found that the sound bar performs exceptionally well, even when listening to music. In fact, I believe it outperforms another high-quality sound bar I own in a different room.
In terms of pros, the sound quality is unparalleled, and the Bose sound bar exudes a fantastic and high-quality appearance. On the other hand, there are a few cons to consider. The new smaller control included with the sound bar is less functional and more challenging to use compared to the previous model. However, since the sound bar is primarily controlled through the app, this drawback can be mitigated by using your phone. Another con is that to fully experience the sound bar's potential and achieve a truly immersive experience, investing in the bass module is recommended.
In conclusion, the Bose sound bar impresses with its brilliant packaging, incredible sound quality, and visually appealing design. While there are some caveats such as the smaller control and the need for the bass module, the overall performance and user-friendly app make it a worthwhile investment for audio enthusiasts.
