My first electric shaver

Having used old school manual razors all my adult life, I decided to try using an electric shaver after a friend of mine shaved with me all the advantages of using one. After going through countless reviews of the models in my price range, I decided on the Philips 7000 series, and it’s really good so far.
And it being my first, I ‘obediently’ read the manual, followed every step, starting with downloading Philips’ GroomTribe app, and pairing my shaver with my phone. The app has lotsa helpful shaving articles, tips to maximize features of the 7000, track your shaving history, product recommendations, and more.
Now comes the exciting bit of actually using the shaver. It has a nice grip and a nice weight, so everything feels balanced. And when I started shaving, I was surprised of its close shave, thinking that it’ll never be as precise as my old school razor. Perhaps it’s because it has a ‘SkinIQ’ thing, which ‘senses, adapts and guides’ according to the GroomTribe app. All I know is, it works! The 7000 also comes with a useful trimmer that I used for my sideburns.
Cleaning the shaver us also easy, with the provided brush. For those who wants something even easier, there’s a provided Quick Clean Pod, which essentially means you sticking the shaver onto the stand, turning it on, and it’ll be clean in a minute.
Other things to note is the 7000 is rated IPX7, which means if shaving in the shower is your thing, you can.
All in all, I like my first electric shaver and I’m looking forward to years of hassle-free shaves every morning!
