Sonicare 9900 Prestige Power Toothbrush with SenseIQ HX9992/21
An Upgrade from Diamond…

I was extremely excited to be selected for this campaign. I have had the Diamond Clean (previous model) toothbrush which I have been using for 2 years plus already. Knowing Prestige Power with SenseIQ will be a huge upgrade, my review will be more of a comparison to Diamond Clean.
Outlook:
Very pretty rose gold. The charging box is 50% smaller which makes it more portable. This is great as I am a frequent traveler and I can chuck it in my handbag to use during long flights. The other charging port, also another upgrade, is more sleek, like a stand instead of a cup with a base. The only thing that I didn't like was the frosted protector over the charging base. As I do not put it in a set place, it keeps coming out which may result in losing it in the future.
Setting Up:
Very easy. Plug and play. Download the app. Charge it and you are good to go.
Brush head:
I find the brush head very stiff. I am very used to smaller brush head so this didn't work for me. I find it stiff and hard and potentially too harsh for my gums and teeth despite using the Sensitive mode. This can be easily rectified by purchasing other brush heads available from Philips.
App:
When you are brushing, you need to switch on the app so it can guide you where to brush and show you if you have brushed the section enough. This is great because it really shows how your brushing habits are. Then again, it is not a thing for me to bring my phone when I want to brush my teeth. So I have to make a conscious effort to remember that. What I really love is the SenseIQ that prompts you if you apply too much pressure. I have a receding gum line and this really helps in ensuring you do not over-apply pressure.
Cleanliness:
As it is with Diamond Clean, the toothbrush does a great job cleaning the teeth. The teeth feel very smooth and clean. The Tongue Cleaner is not so great. I still prefer the old fashion way of scraping the tongue.
Device:
Instead of a press button, it is now a sensor button. Makes it feel more high tech but I expect it in this model. The ring light at the bottom of the device is great if you are not using the app but it will still gives you prompts when brushing. I also find this model vibrates more and is noisier compared to Diamond Clean. I will really appreciate it if the noise can be lesser.
All in all, the toothbrush does a great job in cleaning, with high-tech upgrades that can help with better teeth/gum hygiene.
