OLED65G2PSA
The Best TV I have owned

The highly anticipated LG OLED65G2PSA was delivered to me on a hot Tuesday afternoon. Being a long time user of LG LCD/OLED TV (my first LG TV was bought more than 10 years ago), I was excited to finally own one of LG’s latest OLED TV.
After installation, the first thing I noticed was how thin and flat the TV is. Compared to my old LG OLED 55C7, the new LG OLED65G2PSA is significantly thinner and mounts flushed to the TV feature wall. Herein lies the first issue: The ports of the OLED65G2PSA is all “hidden” behind the television. There are no ports visible at the sides or bottom of the TV. The lack of visible ports makes ad-hoc connection of external hard disks or laptops a rather inconvenient experience. Thankfully, the LG OLED65G2PSA comes with Apple Airplay built in! Hence, I am able to connect my Mac wireless to the TV.
After turning on the LG OLED65G2PSA, I am blown away at how thin the bezel is. The colours are also really vibrant and the screen looks bright even during daytime viewing. My wife also commented that the images looks sharper than our old LG OLED 55C7 (which is also a 4K OLED TV). As OLED65G2PSA has a best-in-class OLED evo panel, I did expect the image to look marginally better than my old LG OLED TV, but not so much better than even my wife noticed a difference!
In terms of sound, the LG OLED65G2PSA has pretty decent speakers. I found that the AI Sound Pro is able to project both the voice and background sound clearly. It does sound a bit “echoey” at times (most likely due to the content) but that effect can be eliminated by changing the Sound Mode to “Standard”. For movie nights, I connected my home AV system to the eARC HDMI port of the OLED65G2PSA, which allows the sound to be played from my home AV system for a better sound experience.
LG’s webOS interface is quick and intuitive. It probably has more functions than I will normally use. LG’s magic remote controls comes with dedicated buttons to common streaming services like Netflix and Disney+. Most importantly, I like how the magic remote can be used as a pointer/mouse to navigate the settings/webOS/apps.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the LG OLED65G2PSA. The image quality is amazing, webOS is snappy and the TV has enough features and ports to support many devices. Potential buyers will want to note the lack of visible ports at the side/bottom of the TV and determine if the sleek design of the TV is worth the inconvenience of accessing the ports at the back of the TV.
