What an immersive experience

Wow! The LG G2 sure brought the punch. Knowing the higher peak brightness on a 10% window that finally reached 1000+ nits, I got my UHD collection that makes use of that added brightness and colours that HDR brings and gave this TV the chance to shine. It did not disappoint! As you can see, the contrast on this TV is next level thanks to being able to go from 0-1000+ nits. In the same scene, the tires were pitch black and the shadows were really dark but the bright sky and especially the sun and fire really shine through the screen to give you that blinding punch of brightness that pops out of the screen. It is truly an amazing HDR experience with this TV.
The UI is very intuitive making it easy to navigate through the menu. Something that couldn’t be said about the other Korean TV brand. Therefore, I can safely say that this is a family friendly TV as they wouldn’t have to go through hoops to get to where they need to go like changing inputs or launching an app. There are so many quality-of-life improvements seen on this TV vs my LG C9 too. Apps start launching instantly without any delay. Switching inputs, the HDMI EDID handshake was a lot faster and therefore, the image of that HDMI input can be shown in 1-2 seconds as opposed to 3-4 seconds on the C9 previously.
There were just too many new features that piqued my interest including the new Room to Room Share. Looks useful since I can let my family in the entertainment room enjoy the content that I’m watching at the same time with just 1 very powerful subwoofer that can be heard and felt throughout the whole house. So, all I need are good speakers in the living room and both family members can enjoy the immersive experience no matter where they are in the house watching the same content. Makes me want to go out and get another G2 or C2 series just for this.
LG has truly done a great job improving their TVs after 3 years from my owning the C9. The 5-year panel warranty by LG means that I’ll have a peace of mind along with the futureproof HDMI 2.1 feature set that is a nice touch for current 4K HDR at 120Hz with VRR Console (including Dolby Vision 120Hz VRR gaming) and PC gaming that I’ve been doing since the C9 is just chef’s kiss. Just simply, perfection.
I’ll end this by recommending you guys to watch Netflix’s Red Notice with Dolby Vision. You’ll be even more amazed by the super bright peak highlights that are there on many of the scenes. Loving every moment spent watching content on this TV.
