Got a chance to join this awesome campaign and get the latest LG StandbyMe TV. Delivery was super fast, paid and received within 3days.
Was so excited to unbox it, the packaging box was super huge and comes with a super heavy quality base for the perfect stability to wheel/move the TV around with no risk of toppling over.
Scan the box QR for a quick instructional setup video, clear instructions. Pretty easy and straightforward to install it within 15-20mins.
Once I got it setup, super excited to start using it to stream videos, watch Netflix and see what apps they have. To be very honest, initially was disappointed by the resolution of the screen as it's not as clear as a ‘real’ tv as the screen was slightly matt and touchscreen. But after using it for days, we LOVE the TV. Slowly gotten use to the screen and found the resolution to be actually “OK LEH” hahaha and touchscreen is perfect and so easy to type on screen keyboard.
The browser make up for the lack of interesting apps as there’s no playstore/applestore. However, the browser enable us to go to any website and it’s TOUCHSCREEN to navigate and scroll around. If you’re lazy like me, you can connect a bluetooth mouse/keyboard to control the screen while sitting at the sofa. Bluetooth connectivity was fast & great with logitech mx mouse.
With this browser accessibility, there’s really endless possibilities. Anything you can think of, you can do. Sometimes when I like to read manga, you imagine lying down on sofa w a mouse (to scroll) and reading manga on a huge 27” screen tilt towards you. Such an enjoyment :D
Ability to use LG thinQ app to control the tv, tap NFC to share your mobile screen to the TV. Perfect when you’ve family or friends over, you can show off your photos via the tv or just let the kids use the portable tv so they be engage. Of course limit their screentime! Hahaha
Ohh, did I mentioned the tv sounds is super powerful that you need no soundbar. Usually I on vol 15 already super loud and clear. Only cons is the battery life last probably 3 or 4hours and the remote is only a simple remote. Would be perfect if it comes with the LG magic remote.
Overall, we LOVE the TV and I would rate it 9 out of 10!
