LG StanbyME
You don't realize you need…

Initially purchased this as an option for my elderly parents to stream videos from Netflix and Viu (my current TVs have no smart functions) but the number of use cases simply grew as the family got accustomed with our new mobile TV!
1) My mum wheels it into the kitchen when she's doing the dishes and cooking, so that she can remain 'plugged' into her favorite TV shows on Channel 8 even when she's doing chores!
2) I don't have space in my bedroom for another TV besides my All In One Desktop. As my bed doesn't face my study table (due to sheer lack of space), I could never enjoy my video streaming in the comfort from my bed. With StanbyMe, I watched the whole season of Bling Empire 2 all curled up under my sheets... and with such a vide variety of rotation angles and heights you will always find the right viewing angle from wherever you are. such a great way to while away the afternoon!
3) my parents have learnt to use the NFC function to mirror their smartphones (Samsung) to the TV. that allows them to surf CNA.com and Lazada so much more easily now that everything is projected to the large screen.. almost seamless!
4) StanbyMe doubles up as my second monitor when I'm WFH. Just the right size as a handy work companion!
5) It also allows me to multitask when I am surfing on my internet browser on my AIO desktop, but want to play Netflix on the side to get through some of the long Chinese period dramas in one day.
Simply put, this is a super nifty mobile TV companion for media starved junkies and for the whole family. I never knew how useful a mobile TV could be until the possibilities are unleashed in front of me. My only gripe are two things: 1) I wish battery life could be longer... now it tops at about 4hours which is not always sufficient if you are binge watching ;) 2) resolution could be better.. give me OLED for the next version of StanbyMe! :)
