A solid product with some…

Overall, when once everything is set up and ready to go, this is a solid system that makes a perfect upgrade to any home theater setup. Even with this solid product, knowing what it needs to work flawlessly is critical to a positive or negative experience.
Setup took minutes. Little touches like having the optical cord included was nice as I would have for sure not thought to check to see if I had one ready beforehand. The instructions are simple (too simple but more on that later) and give you the basics of what you need to get your system running. Installing the rear speakers includes connecting the wires to the included hub which receives the signal from the front. Cleaver placement can really hide the wires and clutter which I found to be a neat feature.
Once installed, your sound will really come to life once you get everything tuned in. I installed my unit in a larger room which fit the bill for what I wanted but I would think as a main sound system a medium sized room would be a perfect fit. The presets are easy to change with the included remote. It has a cross device feature which means changing the volume on your old remote (with most major brand supported) will change the sound bar as well. The Bluetooth paired to my phone without issue and those with select LG TV's will have an additional feature where the bar will pair with your TV with its Sound Sync feature. Buttons on the side are accessible. They are physical (not touch panel) which I also appreciated.
What does this sound bar need to work properly? I had to troubleshoot the system as it would frequently disconnect at the start. I found out through tech support (which was responsive and helpful) that the rear speakers get the signal from the sub which gets its signal from the sound bar thus the sub needed a new home. This chain of signals in never mentioned in the manual nor on the official product page. It also does not state anywhere on the package, manual or office product site that each of these chains should be within 10 feet from each other. Not a good distance for a wireless system. My larger room proved to be a challenge at first but once I knew how it worked, the problem was fixed. The manual calls itself as a "simple manual" which is great for setup. However, it left three pages blank which would have been nice for more setup advice, what the letters in the equalizer mean (WB is sub for some reason), and other helpful details. If you can meet these requirements, you're set!
