Great Design, Software…

The design of these earbuds and the case is as good as any other out there. Wireless charging works great but make sure that you have the case placed correctly on your charger. The size of the case is really nice and not bulky, but if you don't set it correctly on the upright chargers built for phones, the small size is a disadvantage. The magnet that holds the earbuds in the case is nice and strong so they snap right in. Charging time for both the earbuds and the case is super fast. I haven't even really had a chance to drain all of the batteries because the battery life is great and they charge so fast, it seems like it would be difficult to completely end up with zero battery.
I haven't heard any complaints about call quality and it seems like the dual microphones work as they are designed. One problem I haven't had with these, that I have with others, is the earbuds being slightly out of sync, so there is an echo effect. These seem to stay in good sync for calls as well as playing music. The sound quality for music, by the way, is quite good.
Here's the downside: The Tone Free app is decent as far as pairing and setup, but the audio adjustments really don't make a meaningful difference. The biggest detractor is the ambient sound mode and it really needs to be fixed. With any level of ambient "ON" there is a really terrible tin can effect and LG is way behind competitors. In my experience, ambient sound should include the things that you want and need to hear, but the audible noise is like having constant static in your ears. The other poor design are the touch buttons on the earbuds. They are incredibly easy to hit accidentally with the buttons turned on. Turned off, there is no functionality, so it's lose-lose.
Overall, these are good for the money and will work for everything from the office, to the gym. If you don't need the highest quality ambient mode, they are a good buy.
