Decent Sound, Lacking Instructions

I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. While unboxing the sound bar, I was impressed with the neatness of the packaging. While everything was protected by soft foam sleeves, there was no annoying protective plastic to peeled from any of the equipment
There are two ways to connect the sound bar for audio, HDMI and Optical. I chose Optical. The included cable has a nice length to it and tucked nicely into my cable organizer.
The power cords for the sound bar and subwoofer were a bit confusing to figure out, at first, and the instruction booklet was no help at all.
When I turned on the sound bar, the sub-woofer instantly connected. I was expecting to have to pair the subwoofer manually.
The remote control is not intuitive and there is no manual for it.
The sound bar manual only includes one page of instructions with a QR Code that leads to a product search with no results.
The app allows you to make audio setting changes such as DRC and Neural:X, as well as visual versions of the basic audio settings.
Right out of the box, the sound bar sounds very tinny, so I recommend switching sound modes to your preference. My favorite is “Cinema” because it sounds a bit like a movie theater. If you’re in a small space, it’s going to do a good job at providing good forward sound with some decent bass. Even though there is a “Surround Sound” mode, there isn’t really much of the effect to be heard. I wish this this bar had more of a dynamic sound. It seems to be missing a lot of the space in the room. Most of the sound is directly in front of the speaker except for the bass which rumbles in the background thanks to the subwoofer.
There is the option of playing music through a Flash Drive using the USB port. Another way to go would be using the bluetooth option which is my preferred method. At first, I thought I had to actually press the Bluetooth button on the remote (or on top of the speaker itself) in order to start pairing, but I found out that if I connect to the speaker on my iPhone the Sound Bar automatically switches to Bluetooth mode. From there, I just open whatever audio player I like.
Overall, the sound bar is very easy to install and the app opens up a couple extra sound settings to give an even better experience. The bass is adequate and the power is suitable for small spaces. I've enjoyed the experience compared to my tv’s internal speakers but I haven't yet had a “wow” moment, especially for the price point.
