Samsung has been a leader in display technology for many years. The S95B is Samsung's first OLED TV to market. Although OLED TVs have been available for many years now from other manufacturers, Samsung has been pouring their resources into making QLED TVs which are still considered some of the best LED/LCD TVs. You can imagine the excitement that Samsung generated with their very first OLED TV! From a specifications perspective, Samsung manufactures the OLED panel for the S95B and is known as a QD-OLED panel. This is supposed to be superior to a majority of the other OLED panels on the market today which are WOLED. Samsung absolutely delivered! The QD-OLED panel on the S95B is excellent! Picture quality is absolutely amazing! With that said, however, there has been some controversy around the S95B. In what I would personally define as "in true Samsung-fashion", the S95B tends to not be color-accurate. Samsung displays have been very well known to oversaturate colors and brightness. This has always been the case with Samsung phones. Have you ever taken a picture on your phone and thought, "Wow, what a great picture" only to view that picture on a computer and not have that same umph? That's because Samsung screens have always catered to what the general consumer prefers, what appeals to the science of your brain, and that's oversaturated colors and brightness. An actual color-accurate picture tends to be rather bland in fact. Samsung doesn't shift gears here at all. This has always been true for Samsung phones and I believe also remains true for their QLED line as well. For the price you pay, one would possibly expect all the bells and whistles. Despite the "color accuracy", the S95B also does not natively support Dolby Vision. I'm certain the QD-OLED panel could support it so there must be another reason why it isn't. Maybe it is possible that both the color accuracy and support for Dolby Vision are fixed and come at a later time from firmware/software updates. Although there is still a lot to explore with the S95B, overall, this is an excellent TV that the average consumer should be plenty happy with. If you consider yourself tech savvy and pay attention to the finer details and specifications, you may not be able to quite literally see beyond the oversaturated colors. If Samsung could provide updates to fix the color accuracy, the S95B could be king of all OLEDs! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
