The Sero
A unique TV that's more…

I honestly don't know where to start with the TV (and more). These days TV's with 65" and above screens are gobbled up for home theater or main watching areas. The Sero is a 43" TV which by today's standards are small. That size would be for a smaller bedroom or guest room. For that application, it could be difficult to find a place for it. Unlike any other TV I know, this TV is attached to its own stand which has built in speaker. It's an easel design that sits on the floor, so this can't be put on a table or in an entertainment center. The most intriguing aspect of this TV is the rotating screen, and that's what sets this TV apart from others.
When you open the box, the TV already attached to the stand comes out first. There is the back piece that attaches to complete the easel stand. There is a remote and power cord. And that's it - simplistic. I did order the Sero wheels which don't come with the TV (I think they should) to make moving the TV around simpler. It weighs 73 lbs and it's hard to get a side grip to move while worrying you might damage the rotating mechanism.
First I tested this as a TV out of the box. As with all the newer Samsung smart TV's there are plenty of apps to get you started right from the home screen. The main ones I use are NetFlix, Prime Video, and YouTube. I logged into those apps and then tested the TV. First, I hit the rotate button on the remote to go from portrait (out of the box) to landscape. I watched music videos and clips from movies. The built-in speakers are one of the best I've heard from a TV. Most TV's have a hollower sound but not the Sero. It's a solid full sound.
Then came the real test for this TV. Using SmartThings, I connected my S22 Ultra to the TV and the real fun began. Once connected, I sat down and saw my phone in perfect clarity on a 43" screen. I scrolled through social media and read some emails. I haven't truly figured out playing a game on the phone and seeing it on the bigger screen. Then I went to YouTube to watch some music videos. It's amazing that when I rotate my phone to landscape full screen to watch a video on the phone, the TV automatically rotates too. That's a big "cool" factor. Excellent sound, superb picture quality.
I would highly recommend this TV. If there was a case to carry this TV, it would be awesome to use at a trade show. At home, it's a blast to see your phone that large. Great job Samsung!!
