HP ENVY Inspire 7955e
Simple and lightweight

The HP Envy Inspire 7955e replaced an old Canon Pixma MG model printer.
Some Pros:
1) Lightweight
a) perfect for those that move their printer around often
b) perfect for those that don't want to lug a heavy printer and break their back
2) Simple packaging
a) I like the the little makeshift plastic handle to remove the printer out of the box easily
3) Simple, straightforward installation
a) perfect for those that are non-computer savvy and/or those that just want it to work out of the box
4) Scanning
a) Love the scanning capabilities and the ability to scan multiple documents back to back
b) One slightly negative point, documents that are thin and difficult for scanner to pickup...the printer will want to switch to the flatbed scanner vs continuing to try document feeder. Initially thought there was an issue with the printer! Wish a prompt of some sort came up with an option/notification rather than assuming nothing was in document feeder.
Cons:
1) Ink Cartridges
a) Ink cartridges that came with printer are small. However, one counter good point is the initial HP Supscription for their toner is free and includes the larger toner cartridges that you get right away.
b) Cartridges are multi colored...only comes with black and color. Could be a 'Pro' for those that just want to do as little prep work as possible. Could be a 'Con' if ink runs out faster and end up being more costly, even with considering subscription HP is offering
d) I kind of miss having multi colored ink cartridges, especially the ones I had that were see thru and could visually see when ink was low to further validate replacement is needed
2) When I printed a full page colored document, I saw one vertical line across the page that didn't contain color.
a) Went thru some basic maintenance, but issue was still there
b) Might be going to customer support soon if I can't diagnose issue, might be something simple like a dirty roller I suspect, but disappointed that an issue has come up so soon with printing.
HP Ink Subscription
a) I haven't used the ink fast enough/received replacement ink cartridges from my enrollment to fully know whether this is worth it
b) I also haven't tested generic compatible ink cartridges for this printer yet to compare whether HP branded ink cartridges are far superior/worth their value
