LG has done it again. And…

My family is lucky to have previously owned both the 2021 LG 48C1 OLED, and the 2022 65G2. Each successive model has seemed like a leap forward, and one that we didn't expect possible in such a short amount of time. When we had the chance to purchase the 77G3, we jumped. First, the size of the image produced cannot be overstated. This 77-inch TV, a mere 12-inches longer than our 65G2, produces an image that is 40.33% larger! Combined with LG's new micro lens array (MLA) technology -- which has been measured to emit 1300 to 1400 nits in HDR mode (and 700+ nits in SDR mode) -- there has never been an OLED that looked so good in so many environments. The absolute finest details are picked up with ease, whether watching a movie at night with the lights turned off, or an afternoon baseball game in your sun-drenched office. Infinite contrast between pixels makes every image appear to leap off the screen. Whether you use the included Magic Remote, or the ThinQ app on your phone, setup could not be more simple. There's no need to connect an external streaming device. All of our favorite streaming services were waiting for us via the 77G3's built-in app collection. We even found some IPTV apps in the WebOS store. The wifi bandwidth is exceptional. We are easily able to stream 4K HDR 60FPS videos at over 200MBits per second. This translates to no buffer, and no dropped frames, for a truly seamless viewing experience. While the picture quality is absolutely mind-blowing in every mode we've tried, we are currently using the Filmmaker mode the most often. This tends to reproduce the source material most closely to what the director/color-graders intended. We don't have room for a sound bar in the TV's current location, so we have decided to use the "A.I. Sound Pro" feature. This technology analyzes the acoustics of your room, and decides exactly how to optimize the sound for your greatest enjoyment. Spoken dialogue is crisp, while background sounds and music are perfectly preserved. We have been casting videos to the G3 from our phones and tablets, and the streams work beautifully with no lag time. Our gaming console is hooked up to one of the *four* 4k120 HDMI ports. The TV turns on its Game Optimizer function automatically, pushing latency levels close to zero. We have temporarily placed the 77G3 on a tabletop mount. The only way this TV can get any better is if we hang it on the wall like the piece of art that it is. Thanks, LG. Keep going!
