1st QD OLED Experience

Coming from an IPS 1440p 165hz Dell monitor to QD OLED 4k 240hz is unreal. Samsung G8 Monitor took my breath way with its vibrant colors, deep blacks (on IPS panel usually blacks were washed out gray with not so great contrast), and buttery smooth experience.
I use my PC mainly for Movie & Games. It is hard to reach to the full potential of Samsung G8 monitor (4k 240 Hz) to drive games like helldivers 2, Alan Wake 2, Forza Horizon, COD MWIII even with a DLSS RTX 4090 card but nonetheless, the visual is astounding. With HDR enabled, the colors pop out, brightness/contrast is great. I am not a content creator, so I am not quite sure about color accuracies, but as far as my normal eyes can tell, I can see quite a bit of a difference between my IPS vs QD OLED panel. On competitive games like COD, I get about 120fps on average on 4k with DLSS enabled, I have not seen COD this sharp visuals, couldn't see any stairstep on the edges of the objects. I wanted to try with 1440p and 240hz and the responsiveness, the smoothness, phenomenal. Quite a few people think that anti glare Matt coating Samsung went with is a mistake, I think it's perfect, subjective.
Let's talk about settings/options in this monitor. There are a lot of options you can adjust, and the included remote is very useful. There are two different sets of settings, game settings and normal settings. Let's focus on the gaming options. You'll need to enable game mode to get 240Hz refresh rate. Game Genre profile lets you change monitor color to warm/cool, to your preference. You can use this in conjunction with normal picture settings to even more expand your color preference. Virtual Aim Point makes my sniping quick scoping very easy. And of course color, contrast, brightness, gamma adjusting are all there like other monitors. Built in USB hub is a plus.
There's Smart TV feature built in this with dedicated buttons for Samsung TV plus Disney+, Netflix and Prime video.
Onto Aesthetics! This monitor is Gorgeous & Functional. I am in love with how the monitor stand base is heavy, sturdy, stable and FLAT. I can put stuffs on it, unlike other monitor stands with some complex geometry taking up a good portion of your desk space. Cable routing/organizing rubber loop is a plus. The ambient backlight is just there, not bright or large enough to act as ambient. Bezels are reasonably thin. Quite a thin flat width.
Overall, Unbelievably monitor with convenience, performance and Aesthetic shaking hands
