Newest and best iteration…

If you've never seen an OLED TV before, stop reading this review, head to your closest major electronics store, and watch one. You'll be absolutely blown away as the color and clarity of these TVs simply get better and better year over year. It's to the point where I hate to watch TV on any other setup and this year's LG OLED C4 is no exception. Now you need high quality inputs aka make sure you're streaming in 4k or playing a blu-ray but once you do it's like night and day against my other TVs.
The standard caveats apply, the screen is glossy so it has plenty of brightness (even better this year in fact) that'll overcome it but it definitely acts as a mirror depending on your light source. Still that's a small price to pay to have the absolute best picture quality possible.
The stand is an interesting new design that gets put together via two pieces instead of the standard slide it onto the base. That said here's a couple quick tips:
1. Open the box from the bottom and the box itself slides right off leaving you with your TV in foam sitting pretty waiting to be removed.
2. Don't forget the remote and stand will be at the top of the box as that foam will probably not come out when you slide the TV from the bottom. Don't throw the box away before you retrieve those!
Overall, great upgrades from my last OLED TV. Really appreciate the increased brightness, responsiveness, and standardized mounting system on this one (old ones you had to have a special mount). Hardest part is picking it up out of the foam because the edges of the TV are so slender but that just means it looks even better up on the wall!
