Passage to India Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce, 13.2 oz
Tangy sauce with heat

It was butter chicken and so I thought it would be more creamy and mild than it was. It was a very tangy, tomato-based sauce with a nice amount of heat but not too spicy, more zesty than spicy. It reminded me more of a Tikka Masala sauce than what I thought butter chicken would be. We made it with chickpeas and some raisins instead of a meat based protein. I liked it very much because I like tomato-based sauces like Rogan Josh, but it was a surprise compared to what I was expecting. I like the sauce-pouch packaging because I can be sure to squeeze every last drop out. The tear strip area was hard to tear off so I cut it just in case when I tore it I would get sauce everywhere. I was surprised to see that it was for a company in Tennessee but was made in Australia. I would buy it again and would recommend it to others as long as they like tangy, tomato-based mildly spiced Indian simmer sauces. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
